I joined American Express in Aug. 2018 as a Risk Manager working on operational risk oversight. I graduated from the Graduate Center, City University of New York with Ph.D degree in computer science in 2017. I worked with Prof. Hanghang Tong on mobile data mining. Our project uses mobile sensors' data to identify user's transportation modes such as driving a car, taking a bus, walking, biking, etc.. 

Research

My research focuses on mobile data mining. I analyze the smartphone sensors data and develop algorithms for  User Activity Recognition, Urban Transportation Mode Identification, etc. 

Experience

The charm with computer science is that it is a discipline that spans theory and practice. It is fun to learn and practice computer science. I have worked both in academia as well as industry, and each of the experience is very special to me.
